Florida child caught in custody dispute after mother tried to sell him

In a case that may well shock many, a Florida mother was taken into police custody on Dec. 4 for allegedly attempting to sell one of her children: an 8-month-old baby boy. She was charged with illegal adoption and was taken to jail in lieu of $25,000 bond. In a further twist to the story, two men are now fighting for child custody over the boy.One of the men is the boy's legal father. He is currently married to the mother, and he is the father of her two other children. However, it appears the two have since separated, as he reportedly lives elsewhere with a girlfriend. The second man claims to be the boy's biological father. Nonetheless, a judge awarded temporary custody to the boy's legal father in a court proceeding on the afternoon of Dec. 6.

Missing Florida mother's twin children locked in custody battle

A custody dispute over the 3-year-old twin children of a missing Florida woman continues to rage, as the father of the children and the woman's ex-fiancé was granted custody -- despite being law enforcement's main target in the investigation.
